YNPN is looking for young leaders like you to help take our local chapter to the next level. Our volunteer board has a great strategic vision and is committed to helping YNPN do more, but we cannot do it without your help.
We're looking for people to get involved on both the committee and board levels. Each require different tasks and time commitments, which our outlined in greater detail at the end of this email.
For those of you that are interested in learning more about YNPN, we invite you to come to one of our upcoming information sessions. Current board members will be in attendance to answer your questions and give you a first-hand perspective of what it’s like to lead this great organization. Come and learn, bring your questions, and let us know what you're interested in.
YNPN Information sessions:
- Wed 10/22 7:30 a.m. Miss Katie's Diner (1900 W. Clybourn St, Milwaukee)
- Mon 10/27 6:00 p.m. Rudy's Mexican Restaurant (1122 N. Edison St, Milwaukee)
Can't make those sessions? Already know you want to be involved? Email Nick Lyons.
Our mission is to help young professionals enhance the nonprofit sector. Your insight and experience will help us do that. We are looking forward to you getting more involved!
More information on getting involved:
- Committee Involvement:
Committee members generally spend 1-3 hours a month preparing for and attending YNPN events and activities. This includes hosting events to help others learn about the nonprofit sector, planning networking events and/or activities focused on recruiting new members. - Board Involvement:
Our volunteer board of directors commit to strategically leading and growing our organization. Board members commit to a 2 year term and currently meet on a monthly basis. In general, 4-6 hours a month is a fair estimate of the time commitment.
